rainy days

The world around me is a palette of gray--as if someone took a great big bucket of paint and slopped out all the color. There is a tranquil feeling about the color gray. It places a fog over your eyes and makes you just want to lay around on the couch and read books.

I love rain. This week it dribbled on the sidewalks and off the gutters in a peaceful pitter patter, the sky grew dark, and squirrels ran up on the porch for cover. They were so cute as they marched up to the front window and peeked in(which drives our dog crazy)while munching on bird food.

But rain is best at night. It's sweet strains put me to sleep like a lullaby. But no strong winds or my eyes get as huge as a scared rabbit's and I start freaking out about the old trees around our house ;)

  6. It's a blustery cloudy day in the part of the South where I go to college today too! I plan to get some homework out of the way and then turn in early tonight. :-) Have a lovely week!

  8. I definitely agree! I love rain, but now wind or thunder or lightning. And I have the perfect book series for a rainy day-have you read The Mitford Series by Jan Karon? If not, you should check it out! I think you would really like it! And I just found my perfect cuppa tea-one cup of Earl Grey tea, no milk, a little sugar and one teensy drop of Pure Orange Extract-yum!
