Homemade Ice Cream!

                                              *WARNING...may make you hungry!!*

Okay, so I've seen this ice cream recipe going around on blogs for a while and wanted to try it. Recently Katherine tried it and inspired me to do the same.

ice cream-
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 pound frozen strawberries
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

directions-In a blender, combine all ingredients for the ice cream.  Blend until smooth. The finished consistency may be too soft, so you might need to stick your ice cream in the freezer for a few hours, stirring occasionally until it firms up.

whipped cream-
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar

In a separate bowl, whip the cream and powdered sugar on high until stiff peaks form.

Like Katherine, I tripled this recipe and it turned out beautifully! Enough for my entire family.

This ice cream was AWESOME!! Tasted soo good!! I would DEFINITELY recommend it!!

*I ended up using only 2 pounds of strawberries when I tripled it and I thought it was plenty.

No joke, I've always wanted to make homemade ice cream. You girls' ice cream looks awfully creamy and rich. What a treat!

  3. YEAH!!!!!! You made it!!! Eekkkk I'm so happy and excited that it turned out well!
Is your ice cream just a little lighter than mine due to less strawberries? Or just maybe the lighting? I'm just wondering. It looks really good though!
And that reminds me.... YOU MADE ME HUNGRY!! Meany! ;)

I'm so glad that it turned out well! Did your family say that it was good?

    Have a good day! :D
