Parade fun!
It was a bright sunny afternoon when we headed just down the street to watch the parade. Children were chattering, grownups talking, and laughter floating in the air. It wasn't long before the sirens of the firetrucks blasted the air and the parade officially began. Floats of all different colors and sizes, piled high with people and candy, rolled down the street at a comfortable pace. But then a big splat hit my arm. My first thought was, "Oh no! My popsicle is melting!" But no! It was rain! Big drops of rain continued to splatter and soak us through. But despite the rain, it was still a lovely afternoon!

Great post! Should have named this one "Raindrops keep pouring on my head!" But looks like you had fun and the rain did not damper your spirit :) Love the pictures, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thanks :) :)
Deleteadmiring from afar the beautiful horses, the taste of lollipops, and the pretty girls jammed on to huge floats. What a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. What was the occasion? Independence Day?
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a lovely afternoon! The parade was sort of a fair parade. We always have two parades a year! The second one is a fall parade and has a lot to do with elections.
